It is rare to find a more thorough market knowledge than Shelley Simmons has. She applies this with an uncanny knowledge of where your property should be priced, leading to a quick and always profitable sale. It’s also the little things: her marketing materials and videos are just stunning. Furthermore, in my case, even after the sale she helped me find an interim rental property. She certainly had no obligation to do this. She also seems to know every other realtor in the market, and never hesitates to pick up the phone and reach out to interested parties. I could not offer a higher recommendation.

Our process took quite a while, and Shelley went above and beyond the whole way through. She answered every question we had and even helped guide us to questions we didn't know we should have. We couldn't have made it to our happy ending/beginning without her. Words cannot properly express my thanks!

Writing this review took me much longer than the time Shelley secured a property for us. Shelley was not our choice, nor did her name come from “word of mouth”. Shelley was “assigned to” us by the new employer at this new city. We were (still are) so fortunate to have Shelley on our side at this special time, when we were relocating from out-of-state. Even with the technology, our experience taught us that a good realtor does make a huge difference. Of course, those .COMs have made things much easier. However, buying and securing a house have many unique challenges, still requiring human’s attention, energy, dedication, …, and many other attributes, from both buyers and their realtor. These lead to the key difference: making a “good realtor” outstanding from vast number of “average” ones. A “good realtor” seems and does make things much easier. When a realtor has qualification, knowledge and experience (who does not have these three?), adding her/his passion, dedication, prompt reaction, patience, acute sense about buy’s taste, subtle hint of personal connection, light touch of persuasion, …, and other skills (all requiring deep understanding of human nature), buyers would only worry/concern lesser and lesser down the course of the process. It is when a “good realtor” does magics: gaining buyer’s trust. Shelley did just that to us, and she did it in very short amount time. Shortly after met Shelley, she quickly impressed me, with her pleasant personality, along with professionalism, gently feeding us the information about local market, general trend, particular neighborhood, background and features of a property, .... After a good half day, I started to wonder why Shelley still had so much energy, and should I ask her: let’s go to a restaurant to have lunch? By end of the day, while we were summarizing and prioritizing the list of our favorites, I asked Shelley: “how did you know we like this house the most?” Shelley replied: “As soon as I opened the door, I looked the light shining from her eyes.” This was just the beginning of buying a house (I assume all the readers know this). The following procedures had some routines and their own specials: the valuation and strategy of offering, the challenges and risks dealing with a property owned by a relocation company, the approaches of negotiation, …. After some discussion, exchanging messages and phone conversations, just like that, Shelley sent out the offer the very day. One special was worth of mentioning: When Shelley began to explain the unique natures of dealing with a relocation company, she quickly got the point of that we already had some basic knowledge of the challenges. I was so impressed that this portion of educating-the-clients process was “just about right” and “down to the point”, exactly like those master chefs knowing how much that special spice being mingled in and when to stop. Communication with the relocation company was very infrequent by nature (in the terms of business days), demanding careful, thoughtful and calculated manner. We had to handle messages-to-be-delivered with “precision of judgement”, so that we were not un-necessarily wasting everybody’s precious time. Offer accepted right away without any counters was one of the examples (pure luck?). Inspections were ordered, performed and completed in one week (as “demanded” by the relocation company), with some small and big findings. Shelley strategically (and smartly) sorted these inspection items out and feed to the selling party, so that we did not waste time un-necessarily, and meanwhile, she managed to get these things done in favorable manner to both buying and selling parties. Long story short: • Yes, Shelley helped us close/secure our most favorable house in 30 days in this new city; • No, I actually did not spend much time in writing this review, but spend time thinking how to write this review and the definition of “good realtor”; • Yes, Shelley became our first family friend in this city;
